Terms of Service
Effective April 17, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Eccolo ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Eccolo ("we," "us").
2. What Eccolo Is
Eccolo is a project management and client portal tool for independent makers and creative studios. It allows makers to manage commissions, share project updates with clients, track costs, and communicate through a private portal.
3. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Client Portals
Makers may create password-protected project portals and share access with their clients. Eccolo does not automatically share portal links or passwords with clients — that is the maker's responsibility. Clients who access a portal are subject to these Terms with respect to their use of the portal.
5. Free and Paid Plans
Eccolo offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Studio plan. Paid plans are billed monthly. Your Studio plan begins with a 30-day free trial; your card will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel. You may cancel at any time — access continues through the end of your billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Eccolo — photos, documents, project notes, and other files. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you share.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Eccolo to upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringing on another person's rights. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
8. Intellectual Property
Eccolo and its design, code, and branding are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time from your settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for any loss of data or business resulting from use of the Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you by email for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
